For a fourth time, China today placed "technical hold" on Masood Azhar's listing as a global terrorist at United Nations Security Council. This development comes after China signaled that it was not yet prepared to step aside and allow the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to list terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) founder-leader Masood Azhar as an international terrorist. Reacting to it, MEA said,"We are disappointed by this outcome. This has prevented action by the international community to designate the leader of (JeM), a proscribed and active terrorist organization which has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir on 14 February 2019."
